How Students Can Log Their Reading in Book Taco

The Log Reading page lets you record how long and how many pages you read. You can use a live stopwatch or type in your reading time manually.

Step 1: Open Log Reading

Open your book's activity page and click Log Reading. The Reading Room screen appears. Click Start reading to begin.

Step 2: Choose a Session Type

Choose how you want to log your session:

  • Stopwatch Reading Session — Book Taco times your reading as you go.
  • Input Reading Session — You type in your reading time after you finish.

Step 3: Stopwatch Reading Session

Click Start! to begin the timer. When you are done reading, click Stop and save!

A window appears with your reading time and today's date already filled in. Enter the number of pages you read and click Submit.

Need a break? Click Pause to stop the timer and click Continue Reading when you are ready to start again. Book Taco may also remind you to take a break after a while — just click Continue to resume.

Step 4: Input Reading Session

Fill in the form:

  • Reading Date — The date you read (today or a recent past date).
  • Time Read — How many minutes you read (1–240).
  • Number of Pages Read — How many pages you read (1–1000). If you are not sure, check I don't know the pages and Book Taco will save 0 pages for this session.

Check the box that confirms your reading time is accurate, then click Submit.

After a successful log, a celebration animation plays and Book Taco returns to the Reading Room so you can start another session.
