After finishing a book, you can take a quiz to test what you remember. Your score and attempt history are saved automatically.

In this article:

Step 1: Open Book Quiz

Open your book's activity page and click Book Quiz.

Step 2: Check Your Quiz Information

Before starting, review the information panel on the right side of the page:

  • Allowed Days — The days of the week when you can take the quiz.
  • Passing — The minimum score you need to pass.
  • Allowed Tries — How many attempts your teacher has set.
  • Your Grade — Your best score so far, or "Not Taken" if you haven't started.
  • Your Tries — How many attempts you have already used.
  • Reward — The game coins you earn for passing.

Step 3: Start the Quiz

Click Start Quiz. The quiz opens on the screen and your answers are saved automatically when you finish.

If your teacher has enabled both English and Spanish, Book Taco will ask you to choose your quiz language before it opens.
If you have used all your allowed attempts, you will see a message on the screen. You can request an extra attempt — your teacher will give you a code to enter if they approve it.

If the quiz is not available on the current day, you will see a message telling you which days it is allowed.
Once you pass the quiz, the Start Quiz button is replaced with a congratulations message and you earn your game coin reward.
