How Students Can Unlock Badges in Book Taco

In Book Taco, badges are earned automatically as you read. Each badge has a challenge you need to meet — once you reach it, the badge appears in your collection.

Step 1: Go to Badges

• In the sidebar, click Badges (the trophy icon).

Step 2: See what you have earned

• The page is divided into two sections:
  • Badges I have earned — your unlocked badges, each showing the date you earned it and how many of your classmates earned the same one.
  • Available badges to be claimed — badges you have not unlocked yet, shown in grey.

Step 3: Check how to earn the next one

• Click or tap any locked badge to see its challenge. Each badge belongs to one of three types:
  • Reading Time — read for a total number of hours or minutes.
  • Books Read — complete a total number of books.
  • Album Pages — fill a number of album pages by completing books.

Step 4: Keep reading to unlock more

• Badges unlock automatically as you read. You do not need to do anything extra — just log your reading time, complete books, and fill your album.
• When you earn a new badge, it moves from the grey section to your earned collection.
