Q: Why Should I Fill In Students' Grade Levels?

A: The grade field stores each student's school grade level (Kindergarten through 12th grade) on their profile. It is optional, but filling it in unlocks useful filtering across several features and makes your end-of-year workflow significantly faster.

Filter students in My Class

In Teacher Panel → Students, the active student table includes a Filter by Grade dropdown. When grades are filled in, you can instantly narrow the list to see only students from a specific grade — especially useful if you teach multiple grades in the same account.

Filter by grade in Reports

The Summary report includes a Filter by grade option that lets you view reading activity, quiz results, and other metrics for one grade at a time. Without grades filled in, all students appear together and the filter has nothing to work with.
