The Customize Program panel lets Super Users define school-wide settings for quizzes, vocabulary modules, writing prompts, graphic organizers, IP restrictions, and student privacy — all from one place. To get there, go to your Super User Panel and click Customize Program.
At the top of the page you'll find the Block program customization by teachers toggle. When enabled, teachers lose access to their own Customize Program settings and all configurations are controlled exclusively at the school level.
Settings
Quiz Settings
- Program type— choose one of three quiz modes:
- Mild Sauce — only Final Review quizzes are available; completing a book does not require passing a quiz.
- Medium Sauce — a quiz is required only when one is available for the book.
- Hot Sauce — a quiz is always required before a book counts as completed.
- English Quiz — always enabled and cannot be turned off.
- Spanish Quiz — toggle on or off to make the Spanish quiz version available to students.
- Minimum passing grade — set the score students must reach to pass a quiz (10% to 100%).
- Quiz Allowed Days — control when students can take quizzes: Always Available, Weekdays Only, specific days of the week, Friday and Weekend, or Weekends Only.
- Quiz Allowed Tries — set how many attempts students have per quiz (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, or unlimited).
Book Goal
- Set a reading goal (number of books) that applies across classrooms.
Book Nacho
- Control when Book Nacho is accessible to students — choose from Always Available, Always Blocked, or specific days of the week.
Pookie's House
- Set the same day-based availability rules for Pookie's House as for Book Nacho.
Pookie's Play Time
- Limit how long students can spend in Pookie's Play Time each day — from 5 minutes up to 1 hour, or set it to Unlimited.
Word Lists
- Vocabulary Modules — toggle individual vocabulary modules on or off. Use the Preview button to review a module before enabling it.
- Spelling Modules — toggle individual spelling modules on or off. A Preview button is available for each module as well.
Writing Prompt
- Use the toggle to enable or disable the Writing Prompt feature for all classrooms.
- When enabled, links to Writing Prompts and Add custom Writing Prompts appear so you can manage prompt content.
Graphic Organizers
- Toggle individual Graphic Organizer modules on or off.
- Use the Preview button to review each module before enabling it for students.
IP Block
- Enable In-School Only Setting to restrict quiz access to your school's network — students can read books from anywhere, but quizzes can only be taken from an approved IP address.
- Click Add IP to add a rule. Each rule can be a Single IP address or an IP Range (start and end address).
- The page displays your current visitor IP to help you identify the correct address to add.
Privacy
- Student Name Display Option— choose how student names appear across the platform:
- Hide all students' full names (default) — recommended for compliance with KOSA and COPPA 2.0.
- Show all students' full names — full names are visible to teachers and in reports.
