How to Move Students Between Teachers as a Super User

The Move Students page lets you move one or more students to a different teacher and grade from the Super User panel. You can move students individually or in bulk using a two-step wizard.

Step 1: Open Move Students

• In the left sidebar, click Move Students. The page opens a two-step wizard.

Step 2: Filter and select students

• In Step 1of the wizard, use the filters to find the students you want to move:
  • Classroom — select a specific teacher, or choose All students to search across all classrooms.
  • Grade — optionally narrow the list to a specific grade (K–12). Defaults to all grades.
  • Search for a student — type a name to filter the list in real time.
• Once the student list loads, check the box next to each student you want to move. Use the Select All / Deselect All toggle at the top of each group to check or uncheck all students from that teacher at once.

Moving a single student: To move one student without going through Step 2, click the Move button directly on that student’s row. A dialog opens where you select the destination classroom and grade, then click Move student.

Step 3: Set the destination and move

• After selecting at least one student, click Next Step. Step 2 of the wizard groups the selected students by their current teacher.
• For each group, choose a destination Classroom and Grade, then click Move Students Group. A confirmation dialog appears before the move is completed.

The destination classroom dropdown only shows teachers of the same account type as the source. Book Taco students can only be moved to Book Taco classrooms, Clever students to Clever classrooms, and so on.

Sending students to trash: In Step 2, clicking Move Group to Trash removes the selected students from their current classroom and sends them to the deleted tab. This does not permanently delete the student records.
