A: Go to Manage Grades, find the student and book you want to reset, and click the delete icon next to the book entry. This removes all reading progress, quiz scores, and activity for that book, allowing the student to start fresh.

Step-by-Step

  1. Open Manage Grades from your teacher dashboard.
  2. Find the student whose book you want to reset.
  3. Locate the book you want to delete.
  4. Click the delete icon (trash can) next to the book entry.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

The book record is now deleted. The student can open the book again and start from the beginning.

What Gets Deleted

  • Reading progress (pages read, reading time)
  • Quiz scores and quiz attempts
  • Activity log entries for that book
  • Any grades or badges earned for that book

The book remains in the Book Taco Library — only the student's progress is cleared.

When to Reset a Book

  • Student wants to re-read a book they already completed
  • Student accidentally started the wrong book
  • Quiz or reading data is incorrect and needs to be cleared
  • Technical issue affected the student's progress

Important Note

Deleting a book record only affects that specific book for that student. Other books and overall progress remain unchanged. The deletion is permanent.
