Shelf Control lets you remove specific books from the student book search across your entire school. Any book you lock here is hidden for all teachers and students linked to your Super User account.
Step 1: Open Shelf Control
- In the left sidebar, click Shelf Control. The page opens with two panels side by side: Select a Book on the left and Locked Books on the right.
Step 2: Search for and lock a book
- In the Select a Book panel, type a title or ISBN in the search field and click Search (or press Enter). A list of matching books appears, each showing the cover, title, author, and ISBN.
- Click Lock on any book to block it school-wide. The change saves instantly and a confirmation toast appears. The Lock button on that result becomes disabled to indicate the book is already locked.
Locked books are hidden from student book searches for all teachers linked to your Super User account. Individual teachers cannot override a lock set at the Super User level.
Step 3: Manage your locked books
- The Locked Books panel shows all books currently locked, along with a count of the total. Use the search field at the top of the panel to filter the list by title, author, or ISBN.
- To make a book available again, click Unlock on any entry. The change saves instantly and the book is immediately restored to student searches.
